CREAM CHEESE STUFFED PEARS

Ingredients for 6 Servings

PEARS
2 cans (29 ounces each) pear halves in juice, drained
2 pkg (3 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
4 tsp Granulated sugar
CHOCOLATE SAUCE
1 1/2 cups (12 fluid-ounce can) NESTLE® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
2 cups (12-ounce package) NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
2 tbsp Granulated sugar
2 tsp Vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt Bottled raspberry sauce or syrup (optional)

Procedure:

1. FOR PEARS:
2. PLACE pear halves, cut side down, on paper towels.
3. Combine cream cheese and sugar in small bowl until smooth.
4. Match pear halves by size.
5. Spread about 1 rounded tablespoon cream cheese mixture on cut side of one pear half; press cut side of second pear half into cream cheese.
6. Repeat with remaining pears.
7. Cover; refrigerate for 15 minutes.
8. FOR CHOCOLATE SAUCE:
9. HEAT evaporated milk to boiling in medium, heavy-duty saucepan.
10. Stir in morsels. 11. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened and smooth.
12. Remove from heat; stir in sugar, vanilla extract and salt.
13. TO SERVE:
14. PLACE pears in pool of raspberry sauce; drizzle with Chocolate Sauce.
