GRAB--AND-GO BREAKFAST CHERRY CALZONE

Ingredients for 8 Servings

1 pack Hot roll mix
2 cups Pitted and halved Northwest fresh sweet cherries
1/2 cup Sugar
2 tbsp Lemon juice
1 tsp Grated lemon peel
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
4 oz Lowfat cream cheese
1/2 tsp Almond extract
3 tbsp Toasted sliced almonds
2 tbsp Milk
Cinnamon Sugar, optional

Procedure:

1. Neatly wrapped in a prepared hot roll mix, these tasty treats are anything but ordinary.
2. Prepared ahead of time and stored in the freezer, all it takes is 12 to 15 minutes of
   re-heating while you're in the shower, and you've got yourself a hot breakfast on the run.
3. Prepare hot roll mix according to package directions.
4. Combine cherries, sugar, lemon juice, lemon peel and cinnamon.
5. Mix cream cheese and almond extract.
6. Divide dough into 8 equal pieces. Flatten into 6-inch rounds.
7. Spoon 1/4 cup cherry mixture onto one half of each round.
8. Top with 1 tablespoon cream cheese and 1 teaspoon almonds.
9. Fold dough in half and seal edges.
10. Pierce tops with a fork to allow steam to escape.
11. Brush with milk; sprinkle each with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon sugar, if desired.
12. Bake at 350 degrees F about 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
13. Cinnamon Sugar:
14. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and I teaspoon ground cinnamon.
15. Nutritional Analysis Per Serving (using pork): 661 Cal., 30.8 g pro., 17.4 g fat (24% Cal. From fat),
    95.5 g carb, 51 mg chol., 4.8 g fiber, 1092 mg sodium.
16. *Three-fourths cup uncooked rice, cooked in water or chicken broth according to package directions, equals about 2 cups cooked.
17. Storage tip: Cool and freeze calzones in freezer-safe plastic bags or aluminum foil.
18. Reheat at 350 degrees F 12 to 15 minutes when ready to serve.
